As part of WDC’s Your Community Initiative we are delighted to offer this opportunity to participate in the Community Budgeting process. Community Budgeting is one way in which WDC are empowering local communities to make lasting improvements in their area by allocating funding for community groups and projects. On this site you will see a short description of all community project applications that met the essential funding criteria. By registering your votes in favour of your top 10 community projects you will help to determine what projects will receive funding in this current round. The number and quality of applications has been very high and it is a competitive process. Unfortunately, not all groups will be successful. The decision lies with local citizens who vote, either on-line or in person at the Community Budgeting event being held at Clydebank Town Hall on Saturday 23rd February between 11am – 2pm. Please note that at the event you will be able to speak to representatives from each community group / project which could help you to decide on who to vote for. We would encourage as many people as possible to take advantage of the event on the 23rd February and to learn more about the projects and groups active in your community. Every 4 on-line votes will be the equivalent of 1 vote cast in person. The decision to add a weighting to the on-line votes has been a difficult one to make. However it has been made in response to concerns raised by citizens during previous phases of Community Budgeting and to encourage as many people as possible to attend the event. If you require any transportation support to access the event at Clydebank Town Hall event please contact the Communities Team on CommunityBudgeting@west-dunbarton.gov.uk or by phone on 0141 562 8887 before Thursday 14th February.
